A Night in Italy was prepared by the activity department, dietary department and staff at McAuley place for its residents to enjoy international cuisine. Making everyday special for residents inspires the activity department, dietary department and staff at McAuley Place to creatively collaborate on events. Recently, this creative group created “A Night in Italy” to entertain the residents. A wine and cheese social was the prelude to a wonderful Italian evening highlighted with delicious Italian cuisine, beautiful decor, and Italian music. Italian favorites including spaghetti with meat sauce, vegetable lasagna, and homemade pizza were served to very appreciative diners. The residential care specialists served with big smiles. “Italian night is only one of the great events our residents enjoy here at McAuley Place. Our residents, families and staff enjoy each of these events equally,” said Diane Lancaster, program administrator.

“The Italian food and atmosphere gave us something different and enjoyable for our evening,” said Mrs. Helen Vaughn, a McAuley Place resident. The staff at McAuley Place enjoy joining forces in providing events and activities for residents to remember.
