Mercy Medical's 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Rock Creek Golf Club in Fairhope. Mercy's tournament is one of this area’s oldest and most popular charity golf tournaments. Mercy’s tournament provides a great day of golf while raising funds for Mercy’s pediatric home care and hospice patients, as well as other patient charity care at Mercy Medical.

Highlights of this year’s event will again include the popular PGA Tour-style merchant area with displays by local merchants and golf product vendors. Golfers will have the opportunity to visit with representatives and learn more about their favorite products and services. Mercy’s tradition of excellent team prizes will continue with packages including great golf and dining for the winning teams in both the morning and afternoon rounds.

Sponsorship packages offer great promotional opportunities for businesses in the form of pre- and post-event publicity, event banners, golf tee signage, and business logo promotions, as well as players in the tournament. Packages include the Presenting Sponsor level at $10,000; the Platinum level at $3,500; Gold level at $1,000; with the Silver level at $500.

Online registration for individual players begins on Aug. 1. The bundled registration fee of $175 per player includes lunch, greens fees, cart fees, range balls, two mulligans, a raffle ticket and a chance for each team to move forward to the ladies’ tee on a (not par 3) hole, a great player gift, food and beverages on the course, post-tournament refreshments, and the opportunity to win terrific prizes. The tournament format will be a four-person scramble with both morning and afternoon shotgun starts followed by a brief awards program.
